heading out to nevada. las vegas specifically to unveil his immigration plan. not many specifics in that it's not a bill, per se. he didn't endorse the senate plan, bipartisan plan rolled out yesterday but he did lay out markers. the biggest difference in what he talked about today and what the senators talked about yesterday, the pathway to citizenship would be faster. senator rubio talked about the pitfalls potentially of republicans like him for that. >> the last time this country dealt with illegal immigration, what it did is legalized 3 million people but did nothing about enforcement. the result is now we have 11 million people. at its peak 12 million people undocumented. we can't repeat this mistake now. >> bret: so what about all of this? where do we stand in the panel, tucker carlson of the dailycaller.com. a.b. stoddard associate editor of the hill. syndicated columnist, charles krauthammer. rubio went on rush limbaugh and the president made his pitch. all sides are coming to one important. what about the president's pitch out and in nevada? did it help or hurt? >> i th

's office in nevada which was actually across the state line. it took lake tahoe police reportedly more than a day and a half to notify nevada. we called them this morning and we are waiting to hear what they have to say about it. meantime, alyssa burns has not been seen since shortly before midnight according to friends who were with her. she was in town for a three day music festival which attracts thousands. she disappeared around 11:30 and told her friends she was taking a shuttle back to the resort. she was spotted by guests in the lobby around midnight. she worked as a hostess here in petaluma and was studying to be a paramedic firefighter at the campus. again she is described as 5- foot 3, long hair died black and a fair complexion. we'll see where all of this stands right now with the investigation. live in petaluma, ktvu channel 2 morning news. >>> a court arrangement is set for today accused of hitting and killing 2 innocent people in new year's morning. ktvu channel 2 morning news has obtained this armature video from south vanness on 21st street. david morales caused the deadly

nevada. for 30 years, republicans and democrats in nevada have said they don't want nuclear waste buried in nevada. anything that touches the local state touches the constituents, and touches the people who are going to vote for them. when we get to national issues, however, it is different situation. the number out of 233 republicans and house, only 16 of them were elected from districts carried by president obama. up to 200 democrats -- of the 200 democrats, only eight or nine or elected from districts carried by governor romney. that means the greatest danger to these republicans and democrats is in the primaries. what happens if you or a member of congress, you are great concern is to protect yourself in those primaries from people coming at you from the left and right. congresswoman edwards touched on it. there is only one way around this. it takes leadership to provide cover in politics, to get people the courage to stand up and do what is right. how do you get there? members of congress -- i have been in this town for 30 years. they don't know each other anymore. they don't spend

and parts of the west coast and southern nevada and parts of the west coast, there is a huge difference in temperatures. santa rosa, a lot of 20s even novato, fairfield, and the airport the only thing holding up is a little bit of a breeze. this flow is and coming right out of the north, northeast and that gives you a sign by the coast it will not be too bad. i don't care how much sun we get, it doesn't feel that warm so very cold in the morning with that east breeze which helps oakland, emoryville, those areas get a benefit from that breeze but most locations are in the lower 50s. discuss is 57, although it is 30 degrees right now. a little warmer into thursday and with your weekend in view, we will have to make a return to the valley and it will warm up coast and bay. >>> keeping an eye on the del stock, del could go private circulating and del is talking with private equity firms about a potential buy out. del has lost 40% since last year's peak and the cost of going private makes sense. it will allow del to restructure without criticism from share holders. >>> it grew by 10% and chi

of controls itself. they will start testing this car in nevada on actual nevada roads very, very soon and then toyota and lexus say they're not really looking to build a robotic car, instead they want a car that's accident proof. check this thing out, right? it's got sensors on the front, the rear and as you can see, they're on the roof. the sensors include laser tracking to pick up objects about 250 feet away and hd cameras that can pick up objects like oncoming cars or traffic lights up to 500 feet away. and the front of the vehicle is equipped with radar that can measure the speed and the location of uncoming traffic or approaching vehicles. and they can gauge how fast you should be going to deal with those. here is the big thing. the cars, are you ready, they use short wave signals to communicate, megyn, with other cars. to tell the other cars that maybe they're about to be in a collision. it's amazing stuff. it's not going to be on the market in the next couple years, but all the same, five years, seven years down the road, these could be very prevalent. >> megyn: that's fantasti

the missile used in that attack is actually thousands of miles away in virginia, say, or nevada rather than him or herself actually being at the battlefield. but the idea that the ethically relevant thing about a drone is how far away you the trigger puller are from the explosion or the damage that you cause with your weapon, that is a quantitative matter. that is not a qualitative matter. we have always been able to project force far away from the person who is exerting it. the ethical sensitivity here is really not about the particular type of weapon of war we are using. it is that we are killing people using that weapon of war in place that's aren't war zones. and that is the unnerving consequence of the whole yfd a war on terror or a war against a non-state actor that could be anywhere in the world and that therefore designates that war as taking place everywhere. the most frequent outside a war zone place where our government carries out these kinds of attacks is of course in pakistan. in 2010 we saw what the obama administration was going to be like on this score. there was a u.s. dro
